My HAPPINESS Advocacy

I have been reading lots of books and articles about happiness. To mention a few, I have a copy of G. Rubin's The Happiness Project and C. Richardson's The Life Makeover. These books are said to be self-help books. I collected so many self help books that I nearly have no time to read especially when I begun my work as a teacher. However, I chew on the pages sometimes and yes, I learned a lot. These vast words written on the book are product af experiences the authors had, and no matter how eager am I to digest all the essential thought, I realized, I will never be happy. I need to learn and experience things on my own. And through the years, of 26 years of existence, I already learned some ways on how to be happy. Those few cliche I learned in my elementary years are so far indeed true! To sum it up, may I present m thoughts on happiness:

1. Self-Discipline and Control

 This has something to do with habit forming that G Rubin mentioned in her book. When you learned to inculcate in your daily routine one good habit, then, congratulations! You are one step ahead of the others who could not simply:

a. exercise;
b. watch what they eat and be healthy;
c. tidy their room;
d. have a good night sleep or
e. setting Facebook time - so hard to do but yes, self discipline and control is the key

2. Respect, respect and respect

Yourself and Others. But most importantly, yourself first. I learned that showing some respect to myself  boosted my self esteem greatly, like:

a. resting for a while after working so hard
b. buying brand new colorful underwears or elegant looking ponytails
c. a sweet smelling coversheets and quilt for my bed

These 2 things so far are values I try to practice each day, little by little with patience, which I am enjoying really. Especially when I do the ultimate self care, according to C.Richarson's book. And I am so loving it!

The following are my HAPPINESS ADVOCACY, no one has the responsibility to make my life happy but me. And so, i am making these first step to be happy:

1. Make that big dream!
2. Radical SELFCARE
3. Make your OWN space - interest
4. Set that VACATION
5. Get a MAKEOVER
6. Create a SERIOUS BUSINESS or additional INCOME source

For details, I have it in my phone by seriously I need a journal to write about the totality of all of thise six points. 2+6 = 8 = happiness.
